Everything you need to know before you walk
Stage 14 enters the most remote and beautiful section of the entire Lycian Way. The wild headlands between Üzümlü İskelesi and Boğazcık feel genuinely untouched — no roads, no buildings, just limestone cliffs, maquis scrub and the deep blue sea.
The walking is demanding: multiple climbs and descents over successive headlands, with very little shade. In summer this stage should start at first light. The swimming opportunities are exceptional — numerous rocky coves offer crystal-clear water reached by short scrambles from the path.
Boğazcık is barely a hamlet — a few houses, possibly a basic pension, and a wonderful sense of having arrived somewhere genuinely remote.
