Everything you need to know before you walk
As Stage 29 approaches its end, the limestone walls of Geyikbayırı come into view — an extraordinary escarpment of orange and grey rock rising from the forest. This area has become one of Turkey's premier sport climbing destinations, and on weekends you may encounter dozens of climbers working the routes on the cliff faces.
Even if you don't climb, the setting is spectacular — the scale of the walls and the quality of the rock give the final stages of the Lycian Way a grand, theatrical atmosphere.
