The climb out of Kabak is relentless — around 600m of gain in the first hour. Take it slowly, stop often, and look back at the shrinking valley below. Once on the ridge the gradient eases and the coastal panoramas open up in both directions.
Route 4A heads inland through scrub and pine, while the more dramatic Route 4B descends to the coast, passing a small waterfall and a remote beach before climbing again to meet the main path. 4B adds distance and difficulty but rewards with swimming opportunities.
The approach to Alınca is through terraced olive groves farmed by the same families for generations. The village has one or two basic pansiyons — book ahead. The setting, on a hillside above a deep valley, is quietly beautiful.
